Error! Camera not Available!

I've had my Z1 for approximately 2 weeks now and I've just gone to take a picture and it's sitting on a black screen for about 6 seconds and then popping up a box "Error! Camera not available!" After having this phone for such a short period of time, and the camera being the main selling point of the phone I'm somewhat dissapointed that I'm having issues already. Any suggestions on what might be causing this issue? Or anybody else having this issue/had this issue and knows of a fix? Last thing I want is to be stuck with a phone that has no camera for a 2 year contract when the entire reason for getting a new phone was to double as a camera for the start of Uni... Already had one night worth of pictures missed now because of this let down...

I have the same problem, it error very often and then I restart it and it work as normal then few days later it error again and again. can SONY Fix this?

I have the same proplem in my phone z1 how i can fix it when i open the camera Error camera not available i have to close camera and wait 5 second and open it again

also having the same problem.. every other day, the camera would just say "CAMERA NOT AVAILABLE.." brought my phone to service center advise is to change camera.. unfortunately they dont have the so called adhesive to glue the phone after they opened it. >_< so up to now same issue occurs..

myself my name s praveen am using xperia z1 ,in that mob having camera not avaliable problems when i take a camera the mes will be shown,,,every one having android in low price bt we are buying a more costly mobile in sony z1 but it cannot be worth...now am serviced the mobile,they will be provided swap mob that mobile also having same problem nd over heat what can i do....????am serviced the mob in k g electronics coimbtre

Just wait Sony is going to print solution in z1's user manual that " if u want to use camera just go Setting/apps/camera and clear data, then restart the mobile and click on camera".

how can sony ignore this issue?

camera all the time not available and sound is very weak .. i whish i never ditched my samsung s3. 

sony has to **bleep**in do something like what the **bleep** what else is customer support?!
