Error! Camera not Available!

I've had my Z1 for approximately 2 weeks now and I've just gone to take a picture and it's sitting on a black screen for about 6 seconds and then popping up a box "Error! Camera not available!" After having this phone for such a short period of time, and the camera being the main selling point of the phone I'm somewhat dissapointed that I'm having issues already. Any suggestions on what might be causing this issue? Or anybody else having this issue/had this issue and knows of a fix? Last thing I want is to be stuck with a phone that has no camera for a 2 year contract when the entire reason for getting a new phone was to double as a camera for the start of Uni... Already had one night worth of pictures missed now because of this let down...

Hi try this solution 10 times but unfortunatly isn't work. I also try with pcc to repair my xperia m5 and refactor it 5 - 6 time, all process become useless. Still i am getting same error "Unfortunatly camera has stop" when open my front camera.

Today i was having the same problem. 

I just cleared the cache of camera and it started to work fine.

The problem is the app, delete it and download another camera app - job done. I only found this out because my mobile providers wanted my phone for two weeks to "repair it" it was done in less than a minute by a young guy in a mobile phone shop- problem solved

Software repair and safe mode doesn't help on Z5 compact.

Still not available and because of cracks on bagcove the garanty is off.

clearing data and restarting is not working for me and remove micro SD card and all is also not working if sony could reply then i would be very thankful

and this error pesist since 1 year

. My phone can't detect the handfree which were working fine for about a month.

I think that a a software update will solve these issues.
