I've had my Z1 for approximately 2 weeks now and I've just gone to take a picture and it's sitting on a black screen for about 6 seconds and then popping up a box "Error! Camera not available!" After having this phone for such a short period of time, and the camera being the main selling point of the phone I'm somewhat dissapointed that I'm having issues already. Any suggestions on what might be causing this issue? Or anybody else having this issue/had this issue and knows of a fix? Last thing I want is to be stuck with a phone that has no camera for a 2 year contract when the entire reason for getting a new phone was to double as a camera for the start of Uni... Already had one night worth of pictures missed now because of this let down...
Solved! Go to Solution.
Settings > apps > all > camera > clear everything > restart your phone > try again
Brilliant working as intended now! Many thanks for the speedy reply! Let the snaps resume!

I'm having the same problem... Is there a more permanent solution? It's happened multiple times over the last two days, and I'd expect more from a flagship phone..

A week ago i've sent my phone to Sony Repair Center and today it is back.
On the 'repair report' I've got ONLY 'Software Update' (earlier I had 6.2.A.1.100 and now it's also 6.2.A.1.100) and of course problem still persists
Sony what can we (or you) do to fix it?????
Hy guys,
So, I discovered a conflict after the last FW update! The conflict is between camera settings and photo analyzer service. If you disable the service then the camera will crash when you want to change focus mode option.
Few days ago I've sent my handset to Repair Center again.
On 'WWW repair status' I can see: replace motherboard.
I hope that will fix my problems with Xperia P
