keyboard typing problems.

Hi I've been having problems with the keypad/board on my xperia z3. It's become vague when typing as If my fingers have doubled in size and the wrong letters are coming up. Such as press the U key and I'll get either Y or I. The W key has simply ceased to work at all now.
I've read the articles where it says go into settings, select apps and then all, thats where I come a cropper. I don't have the all bar.
Where do I go from here? Many thanks.

For me the same issue with my Z3 Compact

Suddenly I cannot type the "b" and "h" character anymore in portrait mode....

Certainly not a Xperia keyboard issue, other keyboards the same. Looks like the touch area for that letters suddenly are no sensitive anymore.

No damage or scratches on the screen....

It's a pity that Sony is not reacting on this thread anymore.

Did ANYONE eventually find a solution to this problem? I am having it too, the keyboard of my Xperia Z3+ no longer working: several letters I can't type at all (e and d) and others close to them very hit and miss. I also no longer cannot receive calls because I can't swipe across the screen. If I rotate the screen I can type e, which is in the first line, but not d which is in the second line where none of the letters work at all.  Sony support suggested some "solutions" which did not work, including a total reset software repair, which I did only to find the problem still there.

Since several people are having this problem, WHAT IS SONY DOING???

If anyone found a solution, please tell me!

Why has this issue not been resolved? I'm having the same problem with two areas of my screen rarely working. I've also just noticed weird yellow atches at either side of the screen.

I have this mobile on a 2 year contract and having these issues after only 7months is ridiculous.

Three things I also have;

1- letters not writing. The keyboard has gone a step to the left, so the q and a are impossible to use. This was the first symptom. Also impossible to go to the beginning of a message.

Turning the phone helps very little; aiming to the left and below sometimes helps, but very unpredictable; the keyboard is no longer centred / calibrated? Sometimes offers several different letters, even words and spaces, on only one careful touch.

Have removed the screen protector, restarted in Safe Mode, restarted without SD card, emptied cache for the keyboard.

Also tried to repair software using Xperia Companion; managed to restore photos, contacts and messages from my backup, but the desktop apps and shortcuts are totally trashed. All looks like a factory reset.

2- Big problem started when unable to unlock telephone with finger swipe. Also then unable to make any backup to PC via USB due to locked mobile.  Solved in shop using mouse with USB connection to perform 'swipe'. Remember to remove lock afterwards.

3- Swipe still not working and yes there is that bounce. Cannot clear screen under Diagnostics, and yes there are yellow patches at the top and bottom of screen but only under Diagnostics. 

Several customers are having this problem, so I am confidant my screen is not damaged - especially as I have had a protector up tp now.

Factory reset will be my final try before claiming on the guarantee.

I expect Sony to provide answers so others are spared going through that.

I have the exact same problem, have tried every fix, no solution. Come on Sony, I really expected more. I have Sony laptop & TV  and am now seriously thinking of shifting brand loyalty ..

I am having the exact same issue it's infuriating. The P and Q keys do not work and I have to flip the phone to type them but some apps don't flip.

Iam having the same problem the capitals won’t work or the numbers won’t work neither so annoying

Having other exact same problems does things like this uoppppppp and that's just using delete button or caps etc seems to have become ridiculously sqenws sensitive dpup with keyboard don't even have to touch the screen it's that bad at wrr times 

Same as others phone in perfect condition very well looked after only had it 18-24months

Has taken w0 20 mins just to write this
