I resiliently got a xperia z1, so natural I wonted to hook it up to my wifi network,
I put in the network key (password) (wep encryption if it matters) it showed me the "obtaining IP address" stasis for a wile and when it finally connected it shows the stilts as "limited conductivity" and can't do any online tasks.
My phone is running android 4.3 & the build number is 12.2.A.0.290.
Can anyone tell me what wrong and how to fix it?

It sounds like your access point is not giving your phone access to the web. Check your router configuration and that it gives your Xperia Z1 an 192 IP address.

This is a common problem if you have put in the WEP/WPA etc key incorrectly, ensure you are using capitals.
