Xperia Z Sim Card Not Detected!

Hi,

I have Xperia Z , All of Sudden my Phone Stopped Respoding and Need to Reboot the Phone and after rebooted still the same. I have tried inserting another SIM , But this time the Phone reboot automatically after i insert SIM. and my Device Locks ny Mcafee. Device works fine Without the SIM Card. I dont have the SONY service center here.

Error: red "X"  on the SIM and same for the signal.

Checked there is no issues with the SIM.

I was using the Phone for past one month with no issues. Does factory reset would resolve the problem?

Any help on this Regards

We all made the same, major mistake. Buying a Sony Xperia phone in the first place!

My Xperia Z has been nothing but a problem to me, and just face it everyone, they don't care and there is no fix for this problem.

My SIM works in my MOTO G, but not my Zperia.

MOTO G cost £110, Xperia Z cost £400/£500 and one of them is about 4 or 5 times better than the other, guess which one?

Tip, don't let the £££ fool you.

Terrible, terrible, terrible.

Just do what I plan on doing and don't ever buy their rubbish again!

Hello,

I also have the same problem. I obtained SONY EXPERIA Z4 that only worked for 1 month after which it could not detect any SIM card. After many days of intensive diagnosis, I noted that the two slots have invalid IMEI number. I wonder if these products are realy tested before they are released to the market!!!!?!

For me - on a Xperia Z5 dual sim though, the software repair in Xperia Companion also made the phone able to detect sim-cards again. Though not the particular new sim-card, that I suspect caused all the troubled in the first place - perhaps causing the phone to re-configure it-self to completely wrong radio-frequencies for my geographical area - allthough this is all speculation on my part.

I had the same problem with my xperia xz and I realized that my new simcard is too slim for the simcard slot since an old and thicker simcard was working. So I put two layers of tape at the back of my simcard and the problem is solved.  it is working fine now. I think tape solves a lot of problem :))) hopefully it solves yours too.
