xperia z no sound ( speaker ) when playing media and general mode but have sound when diagnose

so i have this problem where my phone doesnt produce any sound when playing music, and when being called. I've already put it at its max volume but still no sound. I can only hear sound when im using my headphones and also when i diagnose the speaker i sound normaly .... pls help

I read about it a few places and found something i wanted to test. I took a screen wipe with alcohol on it and cleaned the speakers from the outside, pressing the edges of the wipe down the cracks that are the speakers.

my xperia z has that problem.... but i found a way to slove that.. i don't know is this correct

first go to the radio app then open it after that

(in this time my app is open without using handsfree but i dont know why)

then turn radio sound to loudspeaker

(after that i hear loud speaker sound)

then touch the home button after some time

after that close radio app

after doing these steps media sounds working perfectly on my xperia z c6603

Thanx a lot, navi123. I have been facing this issue for more than a year. I ws able to hear the audio only via the headphones and i was so frustrated. This solution you posted hs helpd me . I am so happy to hear the audio through the speakers once again. Thanks a lot....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had the same issue's with no sound, I restarted my phone in safe mode and got all sound back. Turns out that shazam had disabled all sound somehow, shazam has now been uninstalled and my phone works fine.

Found a work around. Make a call on your Facebook messenger during which you activate the loud speaker.

The loud speaker should work fine after that call

it seems your solution is working, but this solution as same as when you are using "soundabout" application from google play. i'm so frustrate about this problem..

last time i open youtube and accidently plug out the earphone then the speaker died.. i've already tried a lot of ways but the solution but i think the best way is soundabout application..

There is no sound on the speaker when playing YouTube or music but if I use earplugs I can hear it.
