Xperia Z issues

Hi every one. I recently purchased Xperia Z in india. I was pretty happy with the phone till some issues came up.

1. Sudden Death: My phone firmware is 10.1.A.1.350. At night i charged my phone to 100% and in morning i was unable to start my phone . After a few research on internet. I was able to turn on the phone and found that there is " Sudden Sleep of Death" Issue which is being experienced by users worldwide.

2. Wifi Signal Issue: I switched from Samsung Galaxy S2 to Xperia Z. I noticed that there is sudden signal drops in wifi connection however, On samsung S2, wifi used to work perfectly fine.

After spending a lot of money, you get this piece of shit. I didnt expected this from sony.

Some users have complianed over speaker volume and LED notification , But i feel the above highlighed issues are more important.

I also upgraded my firmware from 10.1.A.1.350 to 10.1.A.1.434. After upgrading, I havent came across the " Sleep of Death" issue , however, the wifi signal drops are still there.

I have sent a mail to sony regarding this and have got no replies yet. Local Support care team says to factory reset the phone which i have tried 2 times but same issues are coming.

I am expecting sony to comment here and resolve the wifi signal drop issue asap or else sony will lose customers if such issues keep coming .

Glad to hear that the new update seems to have solved the first problem.

Regarding the WiFi signal strength we will update the original thread as soon as we have more information so lets continue the discussion there: http://talk.sonymobile.com/message/448199.

Sony, can you show some courtesy by replying to the above mentioned issues.

I have even sent a PM to all sony xperia support members however, no reply have been recieved till now. This is very dissapointing .

what discussion would you like that is different from any of the other multitude of threads on these topics - may I suggest you pick one and have your say there

most of the issues you mention have already been reported

the speaker is a hardware limitation unless you've been using your phone as a rubber duck in the bath or washing it with the dishes - in which case you will find the answer you need on other threads relating to thie speaker

I agree that these issues have been already reported but atleast sony should acknowledge the wifi signal drop issue and should inform users whether it is a hardware of software issue and when the fix will be available for the same as they have spend hige amount of money buying this

Never buy Sony Xperia Z series smart phones, the USB port is of low quality and prone to wear and tear in couple of months of use. Sony doesnt provide service for indiuvidual customers... any problems with Sony Xperia Z will not get any kind of service from Sony, they charge 80% cost of the phone towards replacement of the new phone. At time of selling sony doesnt share all these details. Sony along with their authorised service centres are looting money by charging Rs.28,000 for USB port not working.
