Hi,
I have the Sony Xperia ZL and now the phone keeps loosing connection to the SD card. I've searched around a little and I see some other users are having the same problem but they are Xperia Z users.
This problem started to happen after having the latest update, the .253 update. When I first received the update, phone works awesome with enhanced battery lifetime and smoother navigation performance. However, I'm beginning to have the SD card problem very frequently lately and the battery lifetime is poor and phone is hot when it happens.
Someone please help, thanks.

most likely its the SD card acting up, you could back up everything and reformat it
Also, unlike most Xperia Z users reporting the problem, my card is not Sandisk.
Hi, tested the SD card on another phone, and also with a USB card reader, none recognizes the card anymore. Got another SD card onto the ZL and it works flawlessly. Thanks guys, consider this solved!
I am having the same problem with my ZL. I've only had it about a month so my unit is already on the latest update and just started having the problem. Luckily I was able to get the phone to stop unmounting, backed up my files, formatted, wiped and let the unit format the card. All was good till I started restoring files. After I restored the biggest file it started again
Let me post my solution to the problem as this also happened to me and I didn't need to buy a new sd card. My 32GB card was also unmounting by itself then the phone wouldn't recognize it. I tried it in the PC and it wouldn't open it. I thought all was lost. I tried it in the phone again, had to remove it and put it in several times until the phone accepted it. After it was accepted I used the backup app and did a small backup to the sd card. I then backed up all the data I needed from my sd card, wiped it with CCleaner and then let the phone format it. I then put another backup file on it and removed it. Used the PC to restore some files then placed it in the phone and tried transfering some files via the wifi connection under Xperia in settings. Worked like a charm. I was able to transfer a large amount of files. I also downloaded a movie using ttorrent directly to the sd card and no problems. I have not tried using the usb connection yet but no problems now for 3 days.
