Hi @Kaantrk, sorry to hear about this.

As @uliwooly wrote, you device will need to be examined at an authorized service centre and your Local support team will arrange a repair for you, so get in touch with them!

They will also answer any questions that you may have regarding local service routines, warranty and consumer laws in your market/region!

Let us know how it went!

That doesn't work. Sony told me the won't fix it.

This is still a huge problem

Hi @ComputerCowboy, sorry to hear about that and I apologize for the late reply.

I'm not quite sure I understand your question. Did the authorized service centre refuse to repair your device?

If that is the case, please get in touch with your Local support team since this is a global forum and service cases are handled at a local level.

I'm sorry if I misunderstood your question!

Called Customer support USA told me it's a HK Version need to call them. I do that they told me without an authorized Vendor they can't help me!! I mean what policey is this. I bought a brand new phone , its in warranty, and Sony can't help me?!

Lost hope after spending thousand of dollars on sony products.

I fixed my button by opening the phone with a heat gun and plugging it back in

I used the instructions in that youtube video but only so far as removing the back cover. The little connector for the lower control board had come unplugged. Once plugged back in the phone resumed normal operations.

I did it the safe way. Went to a local technician repair store. But the device is good now. Sony customer service really blows.

Well that is the thing about buying gray market phones. It if you don't know about it going in that is for sure.

The process to simply fix the power button issue is no big deal. although I do need to buy the new 3M tape for inside my phone, open it once more and seal it well. I also want to shim the back of the case where the connector goes on so that I don't have to open this thing again. Right now I just have the phone stuck backtogether to the original sickies that were in there. So my fix is not complete. It is really nice to be using this phone again after six months.

This particular design flaw really  and should be addressed by Sony regaurdless of what locale your phone is sourced from.
