If you want to record the screen I would recommend you to look at Play Store and search for "Screen recording" or such. Find a application that suits you the best.

I just hold the power botton and the option comes up under shutdown and restart.

I don't think it is part of any app. but good question.

That is totally correct, messed up the android versions here. This feature is not available in our newer phones so forgot that one. Thank you for clarifying and helping out here!
