4.2 Update

I live in Serbia and my current firmare version is 10.1.1.A.1.253, JB 4.1.2, my phone is 6603 LTE. I want to know will i get 4.2 update, and when? I saw that some of the other regions(countries) are getting it, but i did not see anything at all for mine, so i am wondering a bit. Also, is this 253 f.v. the latest for the Central Europe ("Generic CE3" (customization 1270-7296))?

just like past updates you have two options

1) wait for the update to be approved and released in your country

or

2) manually update your phone

also remember that if your phone is or was network branded/locked to a carrier its up to them to approved and release the update

Thanks for quick reply. Well then, i will wait for a bit longer since i am not very good at flashing the phone and similair stuff. The best i did was rooting Razr xt910 couple of months ago, and i had a one click rooting program. But if it takes too long for update to come and be released here, (i am not very patient :smileyhappy:), i will give it a try.

If i flash the 4.2 version, do i have to root the phone and unlock the bootloader first, or can i skip that? Of course, i will backup everything i can. (sorry for stupid cuestions, but i am a noob at this :smileyhappy:)

you do not have to unlock the bootloader nor root, you can just flash, also don't forget to create a backup of your current firmware.
