opening the SIM door

Hi,

I am in the process of upgrading my wife's Xperia L3 to a new Xperia 10 VI and have got to the stage of transferring the SIM from the L3 to the 10, but cannot open the SIM door on the L3. It is smaller than the 10 door (and my L4) and I have tried pressing it to no avail, there is no obvious gap and the User Manual only states 'Open the slot cover/Drag out the card tray'.  I believe I am missing something here - are there any instructions I need?  Any help gratefully accepted

Hi @JimCxperia,

You can try these steps it might help you:

• Power off the device: Ensure the device is completely turned off before proceeding and locate the SIM card slot: The SIM card slot is on the left edge of the device.
• Open the slot cover: Use your fingernail or a small tool to gently pry open the slot cover.
• Drag out the card tray: Once the cover is open, you should be able to drag out the card tray.

If the tray is still difficult to open, try using a SIM card ejector tool or a small paperclip to gently push into the hole next to the slot cover to release the tray.
