Yes I think it was a year ago or so that movie recording with direct sound worked fine..
Then Sony? removed that option and forced mlc use to get sound in the recording.
That's not a pro solution? sound gets really bad.

Sony has never removed the mic option from video recording.

That's how it's supposed to work, it's supposed to record YOU talking and/or your surroundings NOT whatever it's on the screen, you could turn up the volume of the videogame or whatever you have running
or
use third party app
@Viridis If I'm not mistaken it has been like that since it was preloaded with Xperias, I don't recall if there was a copyright restriction

There are some copywrite restrictions, streaming media won't record, nor remote play.

That's how it's supposed to work,
>I think it is is strange?
it's supposed to record YOU talking and/or your surroundings NOT whatever it's on the screen,
>But it is a screen recorder, not i video camera?
>Screen recorder = record the screen, not the sound?
>I need somthing else if I want to record screen with sound? what?
you could turn up the volume of the videogame or whatever you have running
>just looking at YouTube.
or
use third party app
>same problem with third party app.
>Sony (or Google) removed option to record sound and video a year or so ago.
