After first hours with the marshmallow update on my tablet z4, one thing is not as it should be:
WLAN setting is active on always but after screen ist dark, it seems that wlan is shut down after a few seconds...so is this a doze mode thing? i´m not sure if there is an other option to fix this thing?

I actually had this problem in Lollipop as well, but I found a way to fix this in Mashmallow by disabling the battery optimization for the module com.sonymobile.wifi (under Settings > Battery usage > Battery optimization > All apps).
I think the battery drains a little quicker this way, but at least it worked for me.

So keep wifi on during sleep is set to always? It shouldn't disconnect unless you walk out of range. Does that happen?

@SirRobin Can you please check if the same occurs in safe mode?
EDIT: One more question, does this occur in a specific app? Or is it visible that the network is disconnected when you turn the display back on?

So if you turn the display off while you have the WiFi-icon showing it's connected, wait 10-20 sec. and then turn the display on again, there's no WiFi-icon?
Does this also happen if you have a charger connected?

Yes, exactly. Wifi-Icon comes back a few seconds after display on, also when charger is connected.

I've tested this here but it stays connected for me so not sure what could cause this.
Could you try to reset network settings and see if that helps? You can do that from Settings -> Backup & reset -> Network settings reset. Please note that this will perform these actions:
- Allows background data sync.
- Clears mobile data limits.
- Deletes all Wi-Fi SSIDs.
- Disconnects all tethered interfaces.
- Forgets paired devices.
- Removes all app data restrictions.
- Sets network selection mode to automatic.
- Sets preferred mobile network type to the best available.
- Turns off Airplane mode.
- Turns off Bluetooth.
- Turns off data roaming.
- Turns off mobile hotspot.
- Turns off VPN.
- Turns on mobile data.
- Turns on Wi-Fi.

Pretty drastic to a percived problem?
Have you optimzed all your apps for battery usage? If so, try unoptimizing Google connectivity services and see if this problem goes away.
