Having trouble accessing my nas drive on my a90j, can't find the synology nas in media player or vlc yet can access it no problem when using vlc on my firestick, easiest way to get catch up tv. Is there any settings I should be altering on tv to access nas ? It worked fine on my xg9005.

Hi, :
1 Connect your TV to internet, I hope that your TV got an IP address and your DNS is working. I hope that in this step your TV can streaming ....
2. If your TV connected to internet in the correct way then you can check your NAS, You NAS has a firewall. Check it.
3. If your NAS firewall is OK then the last possible trouble is DNS. DNS cannot translate NAS's name to IP. Then you can fix DNS later... you can connect to NAS (your NAS IP address maybe -> 192.168.1.10 and your NAS share maybe -> movie ) without DNS by using IP address directly in that way (VLC) -> \\192.168.1.10\movie

thanks for your help but they are all for altering the settings on the nas, but the nas works with my pc, ipad, xg series tv, firestick and android mobile. I think the problem might be the a90j tv settings

Hey guys, as far as I understand, you need a DLNA to be able to view data stored on your server, and for that I found the following on the Help Guide of this TV:
I also found the following if it's not working: https://helpguide.sony.net/tv/iaep1/v1/en/08-06_07.html?hl=dlna+%22home+network%22+%22digital+living...
Let me know also what exactly happens? What's exactly your setup on your XG TV?
