*** Amazon Prime Video App on my 65XE8596 TV?

Hi

 

I’m a Amazon Prime Customer and have access to Prime Video’s!   

 

I’ve read the you can watch Prime Video’s on your Android TV, from the TV but, you need to have the Prime Video app on the TV?

 

The app is supposed to be on the Content bar but, I don’t see it!

 

Can any member please advise the procedure for watching Videos on my 65XE8596 TV?

Hi @Peeoff. There is no “special” prime video app, you simply use the amazon video app, go to Home -> Featured apps -> amazon video.  Once you log in and complete authenticity (can’t remember the procedure) your included prime videos will show £0.00.

I’ve gone to home and searched for “featured apps” but I don’t see it?

 

There is a shelf called “Apps” but no “Amazon Video” under that?

Hi @Peeoff. A couple of things to try or check ...

 

1. Check the System app Amazon Video is installed.

 

Home -> Settings-> Apps -> Amazon Video-> Open. (If it is not there you will have to phone Sony Support as it is a System app).

 

2. To display Featured Apps make sure SonyShelf Notifications is On.

 

Home -> Settings-> Apps -> SonyShelf (scroll a long way down) -> Notifications-> On. A soft reboot is required, hold down the remote power button for 10 seconds or so until it say Power Off and reboots.
