I have a strange search bar.
I made a screen capture video and took a picture from it, of topic question, can you make a screen copy of the home screen in an android phone?
As you see in the bottom the search widget is square and not with the Google G.
Just the word Sök, Swedish for search.
I can add a Google search bar as you see in the middle but not place it in the bottom.
I can remove the search bar in the bottom completely from the Xperia home launcher.
But then I still can’t replace it with a Google search bar.
The square search bar just occurred a few weeks ago, before it has been the google design.
Then the Google design search bar was back for a few days but now the square one is back again.
Any ideas what to do?

I found the problem. I'm a part of the Google beta program. When I removed the Google updates the rounded corners was back.
Maybe someone have an idea of an other forum to ask?
Does it still show up even when you're in safe mode?
Thanks.
I will check with safe mode.
No, it has the same boxy search box when safe mode start.
Did it just magically appear one day? Or did it show after you installed a specific app/service? Or change something in the settings?
Maybe I was not paying attention directly when the change appeared. But I don't think I did any change or installing any new apps. In the launcher I can remove the search box from the start screen but I can't replace it with a widget. So that do not help. It's not a big problem because all the functionality is there anyway. But it's interesting to know if it a common problem or just my device.
For the off topic question. I solved the problem to make a picture of the start screen by asking the assistant to make a screen shot.
Oh so that was it! Glad to know it's working now though XD
