Compatible smartwatch for Xperia 10 IV ?

Hello.

Recently bought a Xperia 10 IV phone after giving up on Samsung. But my Galaxy watch no longer alerts me of and shows me text messages or phone calls.

There are a plethora of watches that seem focused on fitness.

I want to buy a linked smartwatch that will enable me to accept a phone call and answer it via the watch microphone...

That will alert me via vibration to a new text message and display it...

That can be used with the Google Wear app on the phone...

And display the time !

All else is of secondary importance.

Is anyone out there using an Xperia 10 IV phone with a smartwatch that fulfils the above ?

If so what make and model is it ?

Thanks for reading this far.

I doubt all watches that run Wear OS will have both a microphone and loudspeaker, so won't be much use for responding to a phone call (using one's voice, anyway !)

Thank you for your responses. The Fitbit link was very helpful. I didn't know they were owned by Google. Comparison Tool very useful. I watched (pun) a couple of YouTube vids to find that a "text notification" could also mean that the "text" itself could be read/scrolled on my chosen watch....

the Fitbit Versa 3. Well, I shall see....

Totally agree with you.

I've just been going through the set up. I've already achieved my fitness goals for the week by setting them all to minimum ! And chosen a watch face with no heart or plimsol icons.

Just waiting for a text message and a phone call...

The vibrate setting is almost useless. Thick-skinned?

The strap is a fiddle-faddle.

It's all rather a curate's egg.

Anyway, time will tell.

At least it tells the time...

Hello @Zwyx56

Have you checked out Fitbit smartwatch? www.fitbit.com

they have a lot of watches to choose from and hopefully you can find one that you need.

Thanks for your reply. But I think you missed my point. I've wasted hours on Internet trying to pinpoint whether the watch does what I want, let alone hoping that the fitness crap can be hidden.

I'm waiting for someone to tell me what watch they actually use with this phone....

So.

Galaxy watches running tizen won't do call alerts or messages

Galaxy watches running Wear OS will.

Basically any watch running Google wear will do as you need.

Yeah I checked the link as well, however, it will never be 100% compatible with it. You just hope for the best!
