I have had the xperia z for a few weeks now, its hands down one of the best that i have had ever and i have had them all.
However, i have noticed something very annoying. Every time i reboot the phone the icons on the home screen draw do not respond. There is an animation as if they are being pushed BUT nothing opens. Chrome, Messaging for exmple. Further more when i go into the apps draw they seem to be just as bad and open only after several pushes.
To me, a phone that costs GBP 500+ should not suffer such issues. Also, the issue is only remedied by doing a full factory re-set, which i less than fun as you lose all of your apps and stored data each time you do it.
Has anyone else had this issue? I cant locate similar threads through google search, i apologise if this is already raised, would appreciate some insight.
Also - SONY SUPPORT - please shed some light on this annoying issue. I took my first handset back because of this, but have noticed EXACTLY the same issue with the second!

I didn't have those mentioned apps and I also had the problem. I reset the phone and unistalled the antivirus and it worked fine after that. But it still came back after few days and you are not the only one that reported this issue.
I hope your issue would not re-appear again like mine.
I think the problem lies with the stock launcher and switching to Nova launcher solved my problem. I am still having this issue even now whenever I switch back to the stock launcher.

@drravindrakr that's an excellent suggestion, you do NOT need those intrusive apps

Just wanted to confirm this!
Had the same issue as everyone else, was thinking about taking my phone back to O2 tomorrow to get a new one, then followed the advice here and deleted a Task Manager app that I had downloaded, rebooted my phone and voila it is perfect now!
Thanks everyone here for the help
