Hi, I have a strange problem with my 2 years old Xperia Z3 (D6603). I was just normally using it, browsing the web, and suddenly the screen blackened. I mean the problem is really JUST the LCD screen. It is possible to receive calls, I can use the digitizer (unlock the device, press buttons on the screen), also the backlight is on! I have already opened the phone (as it is out of warranty), disassembled it, checked everything inside (also some, not all, fuses on the motherboard) but everything seems to be okay. I haven't performed software repair yet, because I'm afraid, that after that I won't be able to get into the system and the phone will be totally dead (now I can unlock this device (blindly) also after soft-reset and connect it to computer, but after hard-reset it would be impossible to get through the setup). After restart, the screen lights up, no Sony logo, nothing, just the screen is on and the phone boots well. Do you think, it could be software problem, so I should try the software repair? As I said, I don't think so, but it has never happened to me before. The hard reset menu (volume-up+down+power) works with black screen. I think the display itself is okay (no damage). The problem seems to be on the motherboard, but could it be so sudden death just of graphics?? It happened while holding the phone in hand... I really appreciate any suggestions!!! Or anybody with similar experience? Thank you so much. Tom
