Memory card error

After having the phone about one year, a message comes in the taskbar and says that the SD card (64 GB) has been removed whereas I have not removed it. It then recognizes the card back and repeats the same several times a hour. It also often switches off my phone by itself. All the apps that are stored on the SD card are no longer visible.

I formated the SD card. It did not help.

I replaced the SD card. It did not help.

Any ideas?

Hi @privatne, I am sorry to hear about this.

If the behaviour of the SD card reader is persistent despite the fact that you have both tried to format the SD card and replaced it. I suggest that you try to repair the software using a computer and Xperia Companion. Keep in mind though that a software repair will erase all user data from the phone, so make sure to do a backup of your user data before the repair. 

If the software repair do not manage to improve the functionality of the SD card-reader, My advice is to get in contact with your local support team in order to have your phone sent to an authorized service center to be examined and possibly repaired. If you have any questions regarding the service such as routines, warranty and consumer laws, these kind of questions are best answered by your local support team as well.
