How to allow phone to send sms to short code again

Hi all, I was sending an sms to a short code just now (the 5-digit codes used by bank and etc). The device prompted me that the sms may incur additional charges and asked me whether I allow that. I accidentally touched "never allow" and "don't ask me again" (these two came after another in a row), but I wanted to send the messages. I tried to search settings and messaging settings but I cannot find anything that let me allow sending the messages to short codes again. When I Googled my problems, the results I found are mainly on Samsung orz. Samsung has an application manager to adjust the setting, but I can't find it on sony. Can anyone tell me where can I change the settings to allow this type of messaging again? Thanks!

Hi Ywjong,

Welcome to the community,

You should try clearing the app to default.

Menu > Settings > Apps > All > Messaging > Clear Defaults

Let us know if this helps.

Hi Jake,

This is totally what I was looking for!

I went to Menu > settings > apps > all > messaging, then as I scrolled down, under the "clear default" there was a section to ask whether allow sending premium sms. I have clicked "always allow" and it solved my problem immediately!

Thanks a lot!!!!

Hi,

I also did the same process as mentioned above, but still not able to send SMS to a premium number. What else can we do to fix this? Thank you in advance for your help.
