Everything stops working one after another on my phone

Hello,

It started like 6 months ago, my fingerprint detector stopped working.

Okay, i'll just do without it

Then my camera stopped too. Both front and back. When I open in an app, the screen is black and the picture button doesn't react aswell

Okay, that's but okay

Today, my vibrator and power button stopped working aswell.

I need to plug it to use it as I need to wake up the screen.

Like what  am I supposed to do

It really looks like planned obsolescence

Hi @TTriforce, I am very sorry to hear about this.

Both the camera and the vibration can be tested using the support app, have you been able to carry out a quick test of the functions that you mentioned to see if the hardware is working as intended? To do this, find and tap Settings > About phone > Support > Xperia Tests.

Normally I would suggest that you try to repair the software on the phone, but since your power key do not work and a software repair requires that the phone is powered off, my suggestion is to get in contact with your local support team in order to have your phone sent to an authorized service center to be examined and possibly repaired. If you have any questions regarding the service such as routines, warranty and consumer laws, these kind of questions are best answered by your local support team as well.

I hope that answered your question!

Thank you for your answer

I did theses tests and they are not succeded. I'll try a reset of the software. That's all I can do. I mean all the devices who stop working one after another, for me that's clearly not a hardware problem or it's a very weird coincidence.

Keep you in touch

Thank you @TTriforce for your quick reply!

If you are able to perform a software repair, that would be great! But as I mentioned, a software repair requires that you are able to power off the device which might be hard since the power key do not work.

Feel free to keep me posted on how it went and have a fantastic weekend!

I just hope that the primary software (a kind of a Bios) will take over Android when the phone is shut down, if it's a Android problem of course.

Anyway, if I succeed or not, it can't really be worse.

I'm just saving my files for now

Hi,

I just succeeded a software repair. That was hard but I did it with some tricks. Some stuffs are back like the Sim reader and the vibrator. But still no power button and camera. I contacted the support which is supposed to send me procedure about that but I'm still waiting. Looks like I'm gonna have to struggle

Hi again, @TTriforce.

I am delighted to hear that you managed to get back some of the functions via the software repair. But since the power button and the camera still do not work, the device might need to be checked up by an authorized service technician.

Let me know if you have any further questions!
