Hi everyone. I have a slight Problem with my Sony Xperia xa.
Every time i go onto the camera app (the one made for this phone, not a downloaded one), the flip camera button doesn't show up meaning that i am always stuck on the back-of-phone camera not the one facing towards me.
Please could you reply with some solutions as soon as possible.
The red circle indicates where the camera flip button is meant to be, but as you can see below, it is not there.
Hi ConstantindeChabot,
Welcome to the community.
I'm just going to try to find some answers for you. In the meantime, maybe someone else in the community might have some ideas.
Thanks,
Pascale
@ConstantindeChabot did you try a simple restart? Is this the first time you encounter this problem?
@_alexdon_ I have restarted multiple times but it is always stuck on the same problem like in the picture. I just doesn't show up and so i cant take pictures from the front.
@ConstantindeChabot try settings - apps and notifications, look for camera app, under storage tab clear data and cache. Restart the device and see what's changed. If still not showing up, try booting the device in safe mode (press longer on power button then also tap longer on shutdown, you will be prompted to restart in safe mode).
@ConstantindeChabot You could also try running the camera test in the support app, just to confirm that it is not a hardware issue
After clearing the data and restarting, this is what happens every time:
This shows up even if all of the other apps are closed!
I even did a safe restart and the exact same message appeared. Got any other ideas?
@Za3bola I went on the support app and it said that everything was working apart from the front camera, which is EXACTLY what i want to fix. It told me that i should restart and try again but it still didn't work after i did that. Got any other ideas?
