Choppy video streaming on Xperia Z2 Tablet

The Xperia Z2 Tablet have som issues when streaming video on services like Altibox TV Overalt, TV2 Sumo and CSports.

I understand that you do not support 3rd party software, but since this is the only device I have experienced issues with on these services everything points to an issue with the Z2. I have tested with several Z2s on several networks.

No issues are seen on the Sony Xperia Tablet Z, or any other tablets or phones I have tested (Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, Asus Nexus 7, Samsung Nexus 10, Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro etc...)

Could there be an issue with Smooth Streaming/h.264 on this device?

yes, I can also confirm choppy playback on NBA Game Time app. Considering that streaming video was one of the primary reasons I got this device, this is a quite an issue.

I also can confirm choppy video streaming with my Xperia Z2 Tablet, here in the Netherlands

Some background information.

I tested the same video streaming site ( for example www.nos.nl/livestream/npo-poltiek.html ) with the following devices and Android versions;

- Asus TF700t, Android 4.2.1; NO problem with video streaming with Opera or Chrome webbrowser

- Xperia Z2 mobile, Android 4.4.4, problems with video streaming with Opera and Chrome. After a few minutes it stops and I have to restart the webbrowser.

- Xperia Z2 Tablet (bought on november 25th.), Android 4.4.4, same problems with streaming video as mentioned above.

- Samsung Galaxy Tab4. Android  4.4.2, NO problem with streaming video on either webbrowser.

To me it seems that there is a serious problem with streaming video on the Xperia Z2 (Tablet).and Android version 4.4.4.

(Needless to say; I did upgrade my Z2 Tablet with the latest Xperia Z2 Tablet software versions)

I'm very disappointed with my purchase and I really hope Sony will take the complaints seriously !!!

I have the same problem. it simply does not work on streaming videos. No matter what browser you use: firefox, opera, dolphin, chrome. It **bleep**. I am going to ask to be refunded. This tablet is nice and shiny but it does not work, I have experienced similar problems with HD/bluray video I have copied and pasted into the XTZ2. The movie is blurry and it statters.
