Just wanted to share some thoughts on the Sound Connect app for Android, specifically the aspect of changing the connected device.
I have Sony's WH-1000XM6 and usually switch them between my phone and desktop. The headphones tend to stay linked to my desktop PC even when I want to use them with my phone. Sometimes, no sound will play from my phone because of this, even when the desktop is completely silent and not playing anything.
Now, there is this recently added function of being able to fix your audio device to a connected device of your choice, which for the most part works well. What I don't like about it however, is that the app is quite buggy and sometimes, despite switching the device and fixing to it, the sound is still not going through.
It's as if the headphones don't get the command, and the app assumes they did, showing a false connection. I often have to restart the app to see the true connection status, which is still with my PC. This is frustrating, especially since the app takes a while to load.
Aside from fixing this issue, I would also like to have the ability to switch the device without having to enter the app itself. For example, by having a sticky notification with a button that allows you to do it with a click. Or perhaps being able to have a setting to do it in the editable settings section when you swipe down the screen. This would at least cut the time I need to open the app, wait for it to load, and finally switching the device there.
