Battery Xperia Neo Lasting 8 hours

is this normal? only 8 hours only LISTENING to MUSIC??? what can I do?

during this 8 hours, AUTOSYNC WAS OFF!!!

I would suggest that you repair your phone with update service

make sure to backup everything before hand

Update Service (SEUS)

1st go to

settings -> about phone -> android version

do you have 2.3.4? if you do go to

settings -> privacy -> and make sure both options are selected

back up my data and automatic restore

if you do NOT have 2.3.4 then use this  methods to backup your phone

How to install it

You need to

go to settings -> applications -> check unknown sources

download IO File Manager

download the backup & restore app, transfer it to your SD card, use OI file manager to find it -> tap on it -> install it

Contacts

just to play it safe sync your contacts w/ google if you haven't already

open your phonebook

press MENU button -> tap on Send Contacts -> select all -> send it to your email

on your computer

-> download the file -> go to your gmail -> click on contacts -> click on more actions -> on the drop down menu click on "import" -> choose the file -> and click import

Apps

Don't worry so much about backing up your apps

on your computer go to

market.android.com -> log in -> click on My Library -> and send all your apps to your phone

SMS/MMS

if you don't want to use the backup & restore app then

Install "backup SMS" to back up your SMS and MMS to your Gmail

andoid version is 2.3.4 and i did the restore yesterday

and you don't have a taskiller or apps like that, umm you should take it back to the store, it doesn't make sense that the battery last so little

but how long was the screen on ?

really not much...i used also the low brightness mode .. i'm sad 'cause i love this phone!! is much better than my old iPhone 3g!

does this phone has Bravia Engine?

settings -> display -> bravia engine? if it does, it will drain a lot of your battery also double check how many hours the screen was on

just see the drop..

i also recommended him to turn off the bravia engine..

this morning i put the phone in recovery mode and from then it worked good! phone is on from 16 hours and the battery is still 41%!!
