BLURAY PLAYER BDP S6500 AND H265

Hi,

I have a problem whith my bluray player sony BDP S-6500.

I can't play files .mkv whith h.265 (HEVC) codec. Is there a solution?

I would prefere not to spend my life converting files into "acceptable" formats...

The firmware installed on the player is R0218.

Hi there

I cannot see anywhere in the specifications or manual that this bluray supports the HEVC or H265 codec.

The following files/codecs are supported on the BDP-S6500:
