Possible fix for slow internet on Sony TVs.?

Hi I have a Sony XR65X94J TV and the ethernet is capped at 100mbps so I got a USB gigabyte adapter and has worked but remember you WiFi must be turned off to work. It did for me. Now I'm getting over 300mbps.
