Amazon instant video on Sony Bravia 49 X8309 C

Hi there,

 

I just bought the Sony Bravia 49 X8309 C.

 

I tried using Amazon instant video, the app loads and I can see programms and movies but an "Unknown error" shows whenever I try to play anything.

 

I have an amazon prime account (works fine on my laptop)

The internet connection is fine (everything else works fine)

 

I tried to link it in the sony account thing, but  it says I do not have a device that supports it.

 

Is there a fix for this?

Hi there

 

In general terms, if the app loads but fails to play content this is generally an Amazon fault/issue.

 

A couple of suggestions that may help:

  • Ensure that you are not going through a VPN or SmartDNS service
  • Try factory resetting the TV - ive seen if fix many weird problems.
