Hi, Hoping to get some advice as not knowledgeable on these things. I purchased a Sony tv and soundbar in 2018. My mum is having issues with the sound as her hearing is deteriorating. I wondered if it would be a good idea to add in rear speakers to our system and wondered if anyone can comment on whether a good thing and possible to do with our current setup. I have a KD-49XE8005 with a HT-NT5 soundbar. If you are wall mounting speakers is it best to have them at roof level and pointing down into the room or would you get a better effect if a bit further down the wall?
Thanks in advance for any advice
Hi @sneish I believe the speaker below has been designed to provide a personal speaker to help those that need extra local clear sound like your mum.

Thanks very much for that.
If anyone can advise on generally adding rear speakers to my system that would be appreciated too as I would like to have more of an all round sound experience.
Rear speakers will not help your Mum, but the unit described by @LightFoot certainly should.
But if you want rear speakers anyway, they should be at about head height, for a person sitting.
Higher mounted speakers are for Dolby Atmos, which your sound bar does not provide.
thanks for advice on what level to fit speakers, now just to have a look and see what is available
