Rant about security of our "flagships"

I know this has been discussed many times, but I would love if this message was passed to some people of Sony's mobile department.

Sony claims to offer award-winning smartphones, but, as a consumer, I see that its latest flagship phone which was just released in October, has been left with its initial security patch:

In my view, this is how abandonment looks like. Abandonment of both the product and its clients, who offer their support and trust in the market-failing Xperia line.

At the same time, we see that promises of newer software have not been kept (i.e. Android 10 updates in December for European models) while older models of the same regions do get it (good for them of course!) and most users are certain that Android 10 will be the last major version upgrade that Xperia 5 will get (given the example of XZ1 f.ex.)

I wish Sony would be able to view its mobile department through its clients' eyes.

That is assuming that we get Android 10 in the first place 🙈

The lack of communication is annoying and also the fact that they refuse to acknowledge the fps issues. Perhaps they are in the delusion that they have the same clout like apple and get away with it....

The customer support is another nightmare, their Twitter redirects you to chat/call who in turn are clueless (and useless) and the people here in the forum just block or lock your posts. It is getting worse than Motorola
