kdl-40ex500, cant connect with pc

the pc mark on television is still gray so i cant choose it, after i plugged in the vga cable, i tryed everything now and i am going crazy now, i cant even get help from where i bought my tv, my laptop does work, the cable work, i tryed it already on my old flatscreen...what can i do to make the pc white so i can choose it???? please help!!!! thank you!

I have a same problem with same model and I've got not even one answer from Sony support 😡
