home screen not loading

I bought a KD-55XG7003 about a month ago.

Cannot access the "home" screen. Also cannot load youtube (pressing youtube button on remote) but can load Nextflix by pressing button on remote. Would really appreciate if anyone can help

I would start by trying a Reset. If that doesn't work you could try contacting Sony UK Support or trying a full Factory Reset. It is possible that Sony Support will talk you through a simple sequence on your remote that brings back the home screen.
