I turned on my TV this morning and there was a message to say a software update was available. I duly updated the TV and now it doesn't respond to my remote beyond turning on and off. The sound bar (Sony) is also being 'ignored' and so I'm left with a picture, BBC1, and I can do nothing with it. It was working just fine prior to the update. Not impressed with Sony here right now.

UPDATE - I had a light-bulb moment and completely turned off my TV, removed the plug from the wall socket and left it for 5 minutes or so. On reconnecting I have got everything back as it was prior to the update.

Only problem I still have to resolve is the loss of most of the apps from a previous update.

Still not resolved the lost apps, can anyone help please?
