Anyone thinking of buying one of these TVs needs to seriously consider otherwise.

this is without a shadow of doubt, the worst most infuriating television i have ever owned

freezes every ten mins. Terrible sound. Laggy and horrible.

i have always championed Sony products and have spent thousands of pounds over the years on vcrs TVs DVD players stereo systems headphones,ps1-4, i could go on.
but this tv is that bad that i will never buy another Sony product again.

I have only heard good things about this model, that's very strange. The issues described seem to be Android related glitches.

Have you tried clearing the cached data?

Press Home - Settings - Storage and reset - Internal storage - Clear cached data - Yes.
