topic KD65XG7003 Input flicker on Sky Q in Other TVs

I recently purchased a Sony KD65XG7003ABU.

i have a Sky Q box, Apple TV 4K and a PS4 connected to it via a Yamaha YHT 1840 cinema system. This goes through a 4K HDMI cable and ARC HDMI 3 on TV.

The Apple TV and PS4 have no issues, the Sky Q however will flicker every 30/60 seconds or so, with green/pink horizontal lines, followed by a black screen. The input info then shows again and the process restarts.

i have tried numerous HDMI cables and differing inputs on the Yamaha, makes no difference and the issue only persists on the Sky Q.

any advice?

Hi Sjak92,

Welcome to the community.

I'll look into this for you and see if I can find out. Someone else in the community may be able to advise in the meantime.

Thanks,

Hi Sjak92,

Does the same thing happen if you connect the Sky Q to the TV directly without using the Yamaha to pass through the signal?

If it works well, this would mean that the Sky Q and the TV are both ok , as well as the cable. And at that point, I'd recommend contacting Yamaha to see if they can advise with something to fix it or if this is just a compatibility issue.

Win_88
