Hi, I have a five month old Bravia TV that has a hung screen and is unresponsive. The screen remains grey and the power light remains a constant green. When either the remote or TV control buttons are pressed the light will flash once, except for the power button, when nothing happens.

I have unplugged the unit from the mains and left it for over an hour, the screen goes black at this point, when plugged back in the screen opens with the Sony logo and then remains unresponsive and a dark grey colour. I have put new batteries in the remote.

Any advice?

Hi there

Try forcing a factory reset - instructions HERE.

If this fails, im afraid you will need to contact the retailer you purchased it from to arrange a warranty repair.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion, tried several times but it doesn't work. Retailer not interested, contacted Sony, let's see if their customer srvice is any better than Argos.
