What kind of USB stick for Bravia KDL-32RD433 TV?

I've tried several USB sticks in the Sony Bravia KDL-32RD433 TV I bought last year - all come up with the same message, to the effect that the format isn't recognised.

Does anyone know what kind of USB sticks WILL work with this TV?!

Are you trying to record TV to the USB or are you trying to play a file from the USB drive?

Hi there

Sony do not list which USB drives that work with the TV - only that they cannot guarrantee that all of them works. However the USB drive needs to be formatted as FAT16, FAT32 or NTFS.

Also, not all files can be played back on the TV. The following file formats and codecs are supported on your TV:
