topic No OTG support on the latest Nougat release in Tablets

Hello,
I'm on the latest, non-rooted Nougat 32.4.A.1.54 SGP771 and can confirm there is no OTG support, though you still do get the option 'find an OTG device'. I use an original SONY OTG USB (female) to micro USB adapter, checked with at least 4x USB memory sticks all in FAT32, a mini USB mouse no luck. Also checked the connectors/ports for damage, cleaned it, checked it in the 'safe mode' to no avail. The tablet charges battery and transfers data with PC flawlessly. My question is: is there any ADB command to force check the OTG support and/or its status, technically force reenable OTG?
Thanks,
Jack
