Hi,

Bought a lovely Xperia Z2 Tablet while traveling... Perhaps this is the first mistake.

Bought a SO-05F in Japan, managed to have the device unlocked from the NTT-Docomo network, so that I can use data connection back home, but alas... there's a problem.

The SO-05F has a locked bootloader, and a bunch of useless NTT-Docomo bloatware that I would just love to get rid of.

So the question is really simple.... Is there any way to unlock the bootloader and live happily ever after?

The tablet is beautiful, and performance is flawless, unfortunately with my mistake of getting not t purely Sony device, but a NTT-Docomo branded one since I will never use the tablet on the NTT network I will not have any further upgrades...

If anyone knows how, please help!

Cheers

Just flash a different firmware and that should do it, don't unlock the bootloader

Thanks for the reply!

Any idea which FW would be the closest match for SO-05F? It's basically the LTE+WiFi version with 32Gb of storage...

Thanks again!
