Sony Handycam HDR-CX410

I recently bought an HP Envy laptop with Windows 11, when connected the PC shows the Handycam but does not "see" any video files so I cannot download my video to my PC? I don't know what to do, if you search for information all suggestions are to download numerous different video converters which seems a minefield! Has anyone a simple solution please.

Have you tried with PlayMemories Home?

Usually they are there, however you might need to look into all the folders in removable drive: http://bit.ly/3y8Rg28.
And as Marino suggested, also try PlayMemories home.
If it's still the same, go with the card reader route.

Hi, I can see all the folders correctly for the camera on the drive, but whichever is selected it just says "no files found". As before, Play Memories doesn't allow export to social media anymore so is pointless having.

Then don't export to social media directly! Transfer them to your PC/laptop first, then take it from their, it's an extra step but if it helps go for it. Or again, use a card reader.
