There are 3 ways of looking at this.

Firstly don't get to near to amplifiers video further back or get yourself a Gun zoom microphone. Sony do the ECM-HGZ1

Beware of copyright when filming these events.

You could try a Windshield over your mike, but make sure you then can monitor your sound with headphones.

In general dont get close.

There is more to filming a pop concert but this is not a video class.

Hi

I use a sony TG3 at pop concerts but even on the low microphone setting get distorted sound due to very high sound overloading the microphone. i can't take in a separate audio device so is there any way of reducing the microphone sensitivity further. Could I fasten some foam over the top of the microphone? Anyone any ideas? Thanks
