Hi, my

DCR-DVD106E handycam has suddenly stopped recording sound - it will play back pas footage with sound. I have checked all the microphone settings and all seems correct. Is there anything else I should or could do before sending it off for repair?

If anyone can help give advice that would be great. Many thanks

Hello KsaraRichards - welcome to the Sony forum!

If you have tried changing all of the various sound settings and are still having no luck getting the sound to work, there may well be a technical issue with the camera itself.

Your best option would probably be to get in touch with Sony Customer Services directly to go through some other checks to try and diagnose the fault. There are various ways to do this and they are listed here:
