Some of my Video Icons in Picture Motion Browser have an 'X' displayed in them and they will not play back. What can I do to get them to play. Please Help.

Hi robin_b1 - welcome to the Sony Forums!

I would suggest that the first thing to try is to download VLC Player - this is a free piece of software that will usually try extremely hard to play any video file that you have. Quite often, even if the file has become damaged or corrupted in any way, it will still manage to show you something.

What may have happened also which I have managed to reproduce in the past is that your videos have been renamed, deleted or moved.

Best thing before anything in my opinion would be clicking on [Tools] and then [Update Database] confirm by clicking on [Yes] to any folders that it wishes to remove from its database which are no longer there and let it refresh. See what it finds.

If you have moved any files or folders, PMB does not automatically pick this up so give that a try and feed back your results.
