HDR-UX3E says "no disc inserted"

Any pointers as to how I can overcome a problem with my HDR-UX3E that tells me that no disc is inserted after trying to access it for a few seconds?

Hello George

Is the problem occuring with just one brand of DVD disc (if you have tried more than one). Sometimes, a certain brand of DVD can cause problems and switching to another may help. Alternatively, if this is happening on all brands of DVD then it may indicate an internal fault within the camera if it won't even let you format the disc first before it allows you to record onto it.
