Sony Lens Hood Alignment

I have purchased an "as new" Sony SEL24240 lens but found that the lens hood locks on about 45 degrees off centre, this causes a vignette issue at wide angle. It is the correct hood according to the specs (ALC-SH136) and aligns with the mark on the lens body. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

@Daciadriver It could be damaged can you upload a picture of them?

It seems as though the lens has been dismantled and re-assembled wrong. The location mark for installing the hood is at the 4.0. clock position and not on top of the lens in line with the zoom marker. Not sure if it is an easy fix or just leave it, the lens works perfectly. Thanks for your response.

@Daciadriver I think it worse the shot to check if it's fixable try to check the manual of the lens
