XM3 Headphones no longer Noise Cancelling

Over the last couple of weeks, my XM3 headphones no longer seem to be 'noise cancelling' in as much as I can hear other people in a room talking which has never happened before.

Normally, when I wear the headphones and turn them on, there has always been a noticeable 'quietening' after a second or so and this no longer happens.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Crewood, could you confirm which one you have? the wf or the wh?

Also, what makes you say that they don't cancel noise? What are the noises that you still hear?

Thanks for the reply Hannah, really appreciated.

The headphones are the Sony WH1000XM3 model and I can hear people talking in the same room as I'm in while I'm listening to the TV. This has never happened before.

Up until recently, while wearing the headphones, as soon as I turned them on there was a noticeable quietening with a second or so. This is no longer happening.

As an update, the same problem has happened again only this time re-setting the headphones as not sorted the fault. I also tried step three for initialising by pressing both buttons for 7 seconds until the lights flashed blue. This has not helped either. I can clearly hear people talking in the same room while wearing the headphones in the noise cancelling mode.

The final step says "If the headset does not operate correctly even after initializing, consult your nearest Sony dealer." Can anyone please advice where I would look to find this please?

At this point buddy you will need to contact Sony's support, and they will advise you where you can send it for repair based on your location, hope it gets repaired soon.
