Music centre for PC playlist streaming problem

I have Sony Music centre of PC installed with lots of music tracks and several playlists compiledfrom them.

I have always had a problem shuffle streaming a playlist directly to my Sony SRS-HG1 portable speaker.

It simply plays tracks from the whole music collection. Even if I start shuffle playpack from a playlist it just plays everything. I did have an email exchange with someone from Sony about this years ago.

They said I had to start in the desired playlist and start playpack using the 3 dots at the end of the line.

This doesn't work either.

I don't have this issue when I stream a playlist from my PC through my Sony HT-ZF9 soundbar with the SRS-HG1 linked using the Sony Music Centre android app on my phone to control everything. It plays the selected playlist in shuffle mode thru both outputs.

The problem only exists when trying to stream directly from the PC to the SRS-HG1.

I have tried to stream using the phone app to control it but it is quite often difficult to get the phone app to link to the SRS-HG1 via bluetooth.

Can Sony fix the Music Centre for PC to play from a selected playlist directly to a SRS-HG1 or other portable speaker? The problem is clearly within the PC application.

Thanks. I have updated the speaker software to the new version. The Music Centre app for android is already up to date as is the Music Centre version on my PC.

That doesn't address the problem I have with the PC software that will not play music from a specific playlist directly to the SRS-HG1 wireless speaker without using the android app to control it.

Hi Roger_H, what's the OS of your PC? Also, did you ty to remove the software and install it again.

My PC OS is Windows 10 latest version.

Not keen to remove and re-install the software as I lose all my playlists, which is a lot of work to reinstate.

If Sony were to fix the softare so it shuffle plays songs within a specific playlist and put out in an update then I don't lose all my data.

Or are you saying that it should already shuffle play within a given playlist?

It works fine if controlled via the Android mobile app but not if streaming directly to a wireless speaker.

At this point it seems that you're gonna have to wait till a new update gets released. Not knowing if they will really release an update for it or not. Hopefully they do buddy.
